Lamium maculatum (Family: Lamiaceae) Common name: Spotted dead-nettle The photo (9.8.2002) shows the plant Lamium maculatum "Chequers". The green leaves have silver markings in the center. The plant prefers part shade or shade and blooms from May to August. The bloom color of "Chequers" is violetpink.
