Leucojum vernum (Family: Amaryllidaceae) Common name: Spring snowflake The photo (21.4.2002) shows the plant spring snowflake. The pendulous, bell-shaped flowers are white with green or yellow spots at the tops, the bloom time is from March to April. This bulbous plant need a humus-rich, moist or wet soil. Spring snowflake prefers part shade to shade. Beautiful combinations can be arranged with Crocus, Narcissus or Primula.
