Common name: Blood currant, red-flowering currant The photo was taken up at the 23.4.2002 and shows the blood currant with attractivs red flowers (flower time: April to May). The plant prefers a sunny location. A good combination is Ribes sanguineum with Forsythia and Amelanchier. Important varieties: Atrorubens and King Edward VII
